This policy explains what Erase BG (erasebg.org) collects when you use it, why, and how you can have it deleted. We have written it to be read, so it is short.
1What we collect
- Photos you upload to our servers. The background remover, the background colour changer and the 3D GIF maker send your photo to our own servers, which make the cut-out or the GIF. We keep the photo you sent and the result, so we can show it to you and let you download it.
- Details sent with each upload. Your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page you came from and, if you are signed in, your account. We use them to apply the daily and monthly limits and to stop abuse.
- Your account. If you sign up, we store your name, your email address and your sign-in details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Your subscription. Which plan you are on and when it renews. Card details are handled by Creem, our payment provider, and never reach us.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email address, message, IP address and browser details.
- How the site is used. A small record of steps such as starting a GIF, downloading a result or opening checkout, with the page, a random ID stored in your browser, your account if you are signed in, and your country. It tells us which tools work and which confuse people.
2Tools that never upload
The image cropper, circle cropper, image resizer, format converter, double exposure generator and My beloved meme work entirely in your browser. Your photos stay on your device and are never sent to us.
3How we use it
- To remove backgrounds, make GIFs and give you the results.
- To run your account and your Pro subscription.
- To apply the free limits and prevent misuse of the service.
- To answer your messages and send important emails about your account.
- To understand which features help people, so we can improve them.
4Your photos
Photos and results are processed automatically. Nobody looks at them, and we never sell them, share them or use them to train anything.
Uploaded photos and their results are kept on our servers and are not deleted on a set schedule. If you want a photo or result removed, email support@erasebg.org and we will delete it.
Share links are public. If you are on Pro and create a share link, anyone with the link can see that image or GIF until you delete the link. You can delete your links at any time from your storage page.
7How long we keep it
Your account and subscription details are kept until you delete your account or ask us to remove them. Upload details and the usage record are kept to run the limits and understand the service over time. Photos and results are covered in Your photos. Creem keeps its own payment records as the law requires.
8Security
The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and our processing services are not reachable from the internet. No system is completely safe, so please avoid uploading identity documents or other sensitive images.
9Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what we hold about you and send you a copy.
- Correct it, or delete it, including your account and your photos.
- Stop sending you emails that are not about your account.

10Children
Erase BG is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us personal details, contact us and we will delete them.
11Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will also email account holders.
